Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Agency
Mindflow Marketing gets established companies found on Google and named by the engines buyers now ask first: Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. I run every engagement myself from the Atlanta office, with published pricing and a measurement protocol you can read before you spend a dollar.

Mindflow Marketing was founded by Youssef Hodaigui, twenty-five years in search, and he runs every engagement personally.
Our one office is in Atlanta, and every AEO engagement is delivered from it wherever your company sits. We will not open a mailbox in your city to look local.
Every rate is on the pricing page. No quote call required to learn what this costs.
One company per metro in each service category. Your competitor cannot buy the same seat behind your back.
What is AI visibility, and how is it different from SEO?
AI visibility, also called answer engine optimization or AEO, is the practice of getting a business named inside AI-generated answers. SEO earns a ranked link a buyer clicks. AEO earns a mention inside the answer itself, in Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini, where no click may ever happen.
The two run on overlapping machinery. Google states that its generative features are rooted in its core Search ranking and quality systems, so a page has to be indexed and eligible before it can be quoted. Classic SEO is the floor, not an alternative to it.
What sits above that floor is different work. An assistant is choosing which businesses to name, and it draws on how clearly your company is defined as an entity, how consistently it is described across the web, what independent sources say about it, and whether your pages answer the question in a passage it can lift whole.
Nobody can force a recommendation. Mindflow Marketing builds the entity footprint, the citable pages and the review base the assistants draw on, then scores where you land on twelve frozen buying questions across three platforms each quarter, with the screenshots archived and dated.
Answer engine optimization is the practice of structuring information so a system that returns a direct answer, rather than a list of results, can extract that answer from you, and attribute it to you.
What does answer engine optimization actually consist of?
AEO is the older name in this family, it existed before large language models did, back when “answer engine” meant a featured snippet or a smart speaker reading one result aloud. It still means something specific, and the difference from GEO is worth ten minutes of your time.
Born in the zero-click era
For most of search history the deal was: rank, get clicked. Then the results page began answering questions itself. A box appeared above the links with a paragraph lifted from somebody’s page, and smart speakers started reading a single result aloud with no second place.
That created a problem the existing vocabulary had no word for. You could rank third and be the answer, or rank first and be skipped. The optimisation target had shifted from position to extraction, and “answer engine optimization” is the name that stuck to the work of being the source that gets lifted.
Then generative systems arrived and did something related but not identical: instead of lifting one passage, they synthesise several sources into new prose and name a few businesses. The old term did not quite cover it, which is why GEO was coined. AEO did not become wrong, it became the narrower of the two.
- AEO predates AI chat. It grew up around featured snippets and voice assistants, where one source got read out and everyone else lost.
- Its unit is the extracted answer. One clean, liftable statement per question, not a page that eventually gets there.
- It has aged well. The habits that won snippets are the habits that get quoted by an assistant, which is why the term survived the shift.
- Markup is not the trick. Schema helps a machine parse what is on your page. It cannot promise the answer slot, and describing things that are not there is a liability.
What AEO consists of
| Element | What it means in practice | Source |
|---|---|---|
| One question per heading, answered immediately | Phrase the H2 the way a person asks it, then answer it in the next two sentences. Everything else on the page is elaboration. If your answer needs the preceding four paragraphs to make sense, it cannot be extracted. | Mindflow observation, not a published source |
| Self-contained sentences | “It usually takes 5–8 working days” is useless out of context; “A standard 150-foot privacy fence usually takes 5–8 working days from deposit” can be quoted anywhere. Write for the possibility that one sentence travels alone. | Mindflow observation, not a published source |
| Definitional clarity | Say what a thing is before you say why yours is good. A remarkable amount of business writing never states the plain fact the reader came for. | Mindflow observation, not a published source |
| Structure that reflects reality | Real headings in real order, lists that are lists, tables for anything comparative. Then schema that describes what is there, and only that. | Mindflow observation, not a published source |
| Answer the uncomfortable questions too | Price ranges, timelines, what you do not do. These are the highest-intent questions asked and the ones competitors dodge, which makes them the cheapest ones to own. | Mindflow observation, not a published source |
What we read from that, and this part is our judgement rather than anything the sources state: the five habits above were built for featured snippets and voice results, and they are the same habits that get a passage lifted by an assistant today. That is why we kept the older word on our own service menu.
The last element is the one owners duck. A page with no price, no timeline and no scope hands that answer slot to whoever published one.
Sources: no row in the table above restates a third-party publication, and every Source cell says so. The one outside rule this page leans on, Google’s review policy and the FTC’s rule on fake reviews, is named inside the answer that carries it, further down this page. Checked 2026-08-04.

Five pillars run together inside one engagement: local SEO and Google Maps, organic search, AI visibility, reputation and brand SERP, and conversion tracking. Each is reported with the denominator stated beside the number, so a figure can be checked instead of believed.
Local SEO and Google Maps
Google Business Profile work and map-grid tracking read across your whole service area, not off a single pin. A grid tells you whether you are losing on trust signals or losing on distance, and those have different fixes.
Organic search
Technical foundations, site architecture and the searches that turn into high-ticket jobs, built from the work you actually closed. Pages built from a keyword tool instead rank you in counties your crews will never drive to.
AI visibility and entity work
Entity disambiguation, organisation schema, knowledge-graph alignment and passages written so an assistant can lift them whole. This decides whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews name your company or a competitor.
Reputation and brand SERP
What a buyer and an assistant both see when they search your name. Reviews, the outside profiles that corroborate you, and a brand page that holds up when somebody checks you before calling.
Conversion tracking
Calls and forms tracked through to the booked job. Visibility that never reaches a booked job still costs you the months it took to build, and that bill never appears on an invoice.
Measurement you can audit
Share of Answer across twelve frozen buying questions, three platforms, three runs each, scored out of twelve with screenshots archived and dated.
Read the full methodRankings are never guaranteed. Anything we could not trace to a primary source is absent from this page, not estimated. The audit runs the same six layers described on the pricing page, and Share of Answer is scored quarterly.
How you would know AEO is working
Two things are worth watching, and they are not the same thing. The first is extraction: are your answers the ones being surfaced, in AI Overviews, in assistant responses, in the snippet box, for the questions you wrote them for? That is checkable question by question, by hand, with screenshots.
The second is consequence. Being extracted without being named or linked is a real outcome and not always a good one. Track whether extraction is accompanied by attribution, and whether the questions you win are ones a buyer asks and not ones a student asks.
Both roll up into the same quarterly number we use everywhere: X out of 12 real buying questions, three platforms, three runs each, named in at least two of three. The protocol is published in full, including what it deliberately does not count.
How the first 90 days work
Every Mindflow Marketing engagement opens with a diagnostic, not a pitch. The first 90 days establish a baseline you can hold us to, fix what is structurally broken, and put the first measured movement on the record.
- Free Visibility Check. The twelve real buying questions for your trade, asked across Google Maps, Google and the assistants. You get the screenshots. No call required to receive it.
- Local Visibility Audit. Crawlability and indexation, entity and schema state, map-grid position across your service area, review base, and the competitive gap. Delivered written, with the working shown.
- Baseline measurement. Share of Answer scored before any work begins, so the starting number exists in writing and cannot be revised later.
- Foundations, weeks 1 to 6. Technical fixes, entity and organisation schema, Google Business Profile, and the pages that answer the questions your buyers actually ask.
- Authority and content, weeks 4 to 12. Citable pages, review systems, and the off-site corroboration assistants rely on when deciding whether a company is real.
- First remeasurement. The same twelve questions, the same conditions, scored against the baseline. Movement or no movement, both go in the report.
What has Mindflow Marketing actually produced?
Two clients have given written permission to publish their numbers. Precision Fenceworks is a Georgia fence company working Athens, Alpharetta, Atlanta and Gwinnett, verified live 2026-06-16. Fireside Antiques is an eCommerce antiques dealer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with Search Console and Ahrefs data pulled 2026-06-10.
PRECISION FENCEWORKS · GEORGIA
Second in the Athens map pack and third organic, named by three of the four major assistants with Perplexity giving them as its first pick. In Alpharetta they are first organic and third in the map pack, beaten on proximity and not on trust signals. 87 AI mentions across 72 cited pages, and 631 Precision Fenceworks reviews at a 4.9 average.
In Atlanta the same client has no reachable map presence against 100,000-plus impressions in sixteen months. Their pin sits in Alpharetta, proximity decides the Google map pack, and no page moves a building.
In Lawrenceville they hold page one organic with zero map presence. Precision Fenceworks works four markets, and the four behave completely differently.
FIRESIDE ANTIQUES · LOUISIANA
Five of eight tracked core terms ranking strong, with dining tables, armoires, mirrors and coffee tables all recovered to first position after a ranking dip.
A national eCommerce catalogue, not a local service business, which is why it sits here as evidence of method and not as a forecast for your own trade.
Neither of these two companies hired us for a page called answer engine optimization. They hired us to be found, and the AEO work is one of the five pillars that got them there.
What transfers between clients is the method: the audit, the frozen questions, the stated denominators and the work ledger. What does not transfer is a promise about your own street.
What we cannot show either: revenue, lead volume and job values. Neither client’s permission covers it. So we cannot tell you whether this visibility became money, and we would rather say that than let a chart imply it. Two clients is not a large portfolio and we are not going to present it as one.
What does answer engine optimization cost?
Mindflow Marketing publishes every rate. A Visibility Check is free. A Local Visibility Audit is $3,500 to $7,500 and credits against your first invoice if you start a monthly partnership within 30 calendar days of delivery. The monthly partnership starts at $3,500 a month on a 90-day initial term, then runs month to month. No setup fee and no annual contract.
The credit caps at that first invoice and does not carry forward. At the bottom of the range a $3,500 audit against a $3,500 first month costs you nothing if you continue. At the top, a $7,500 audit against a $3,500 first month credits $3,500 and the remainder is spent. We would rather you ran that sum at your own desk than found it on an invoice.
One term behind the price costs us money. One company per metro in each service category. If a roofer in your metro signs first, I turn down every other roofer there for the life of that engagement, including better-funded ones.
The full ladder, with what sits inside each tier, is on the pricing page.
Start with the free checkWhich areas and industries does Mindflow Marketing serve?
AEO work is run from the Atlanta office and delivered wherever you are. Around the home metro that means Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Decatur, Chamblee, Doraville, Marietta, Smyrna, Alpharetta, Roswell, Johns Creek, Duluth and Lawrenceville, spanning Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb and Gwinnett counties.
Beyond Georgia we work across Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, including Atlanta, Athens, Alpharetta, Savannah and Charlotte. Statewide context sits in the Georgia market notes.
The work covers established home-services companies in roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fencing, garage door and remodeling, plus high-value legal, specialty healthcare and considered-purchase eCommerce. The common thread is deal value: one won job has to pay for months of the work, or the arithmetic does not close.
How this work is run day to day sits on the AI Visibility service page. Want the short version? The Visibility Glossary keeps one-paragraph definitions; this page keeps the practice.

What else do owners ask about AEO?
Is AEO obsolete now that everyone says GEO?
No, but it is narrower than the people using it as a synonym usually mean. AEO describes making your answers extractable. That is a genuine, still-necessary discipline — it is just one part of getting named by a generative system, which also depends on whether you are verifiable and corroborated in the first place.
Does FAQ schema get me into AI answers?
Not by itself, and treating markup as the lever is the common mistake. Schema helps a machine understand what is already on your page; it does not create authority, and it certainly does not create facts. Marking up questions and answers that do not appear on the page for a human is a risk, not a shortcut.
If the AI answers the question, why would anyone click through?
Many will not, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. What changes is the value of the clicks you do get and of being named at all, someone who arrives after an assistant recommended you by name arrives differently from someone who clicked the fourth blue link. For a local service business the recommendation is often worth more than the pageview.
Should I write for the snippet or for the customer?
There is less conflict here than people expect. The format that machines extract cleanly, question, immediate answer, then detail, is also the format a busy homeowner reads. Writing that fails for one usually fails for both. On every page I build I put the answer first and the elaboration after it, and I have yet to see a client complain that a page was too easy to read.
Can I ask my customers to phrase reviews in a way that helps?
You can ask them to describe the project, what was done, where, how it went. You cannot offer anything of value for a review, filter by expected sentiment, or write words on their behalf. Google’s policy and the FTC’s rule on fake reviews both apply, and both are far cheaper to follow than to breach.
Which answers do you already own?
The free Visibility Check runs 12 real buying questions for your trade and market across three assistants, your X/12, the screenshots, and the first fix worth making. No sales call.
