FOUNDER-LED

Mindflow Marketing was founded by Youssef Hodaigui, twenty-five years in search, and he runs every engagement personally.

NO NORTH CAROLINA OFFICE

The office is in Atlanta and North Carolina is served remotely. We will not open a mailbox to look local. The one real Mindflow location is documented here.

PRICING IN PUBLIC

Every rate is on the pricing page. No quote call required to learn what this costs.

ONE PER CATEGORY

One company per metro in each service category. Your North Carolina competitor cannot buy the same seat.

What is AI visibility, and how is it different from SEO?

AI visibility, also called answer engine optimization or AEO, is the practice of getting a business named inside AI-generated answers. SEO earns a ranked link a buyer clicks. AEO earns a mention inside the answer itself, in Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini, where no click may ever happen.

The two run on overlapping machinery. Google states that its generative features are rooted in its core Search ranking and quality systems, so a page has to be indexed and eligible before it can be quoted. Classic SEO is the floor, not an alternative to it.

What sits above that floor is different work. An assistant is choosing which North Carolina businesses to name, and it draws on how clearly your company is defined as an entity, how consistently it is described across the web, what independent sources say about it, and whether your pages answer the question in a passage it can lift whole.

Nobody can force a recommendation. Mindflow Marketing builds the entity footprint, the citable pages and the review base the assistants draw on, then scores where you land on twelve frozen buying questions across three platforms each quarter, with the screenshots archived and dated.

THE MARKET

What actually shapes a North Carolina search plan?

North Carolina requires a general contractor licence at $40,000 under N.C.G.S. §87-1(a), raised from $30,000 by S.L. 2023-108, and its advertising rules reach one medium: telephone yellow pages.

North Carolina licenses general contracting above a dollar threshold and licenses the trades from the first dollar. N.C.G.S. §87-1(a) requires a general contractor licence where the cost of the undertaking is $40,000 or more. N.C.G.S. §87-43 requires an electrical licence at any value.

North Carolina licensing thresholds by trade, under N.C.G.S. §§87-1(a), 87-21 and 87-43. Every cell carries only what the authority named beside it publishes. Checked 2026-07-25.
Condition What it is Source
General contracting$40,000 or moreN.C.G.S. §87-1(a), raised from $30,000 by S.L. 2023-108
Roofing and fencing under $40,000Outside the statuteN.C.G.S. §87-1(a)
Electrical contractingAny dollar valueN.C.G.S. §87-43
Residential HVACAny sizeN.C.G.S. §87-21, heating group three
Advertised name, electrical contractors21 NCAC 18B .0402(b) restricts the business name a North Carolina electrical contractor may advertise under, and the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors issues the licence that name must match.21 NCAC 18B .0402(b); North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors

What we read from that, and this part is our judgement rather than anything the sources state: for general contracting the licence number is worth publishing, because the buyer can check it. For roofing and fencing under $40,000 there is no state credential, so reviews and warranty terms carry the trust.

Still our reading and not the statutes. Licence class and advertised name both matter, under 21 NCAC 18B .0402(b). For residential HVAC, a publishable credential belongs on every service page.

A Charlotte company can roof a house unlicensed at $39,000 and cannot lawfully touch the wiring for a dollar. That split decides which proof a page can carry.

Shortening a licensed entity into a tidier brand is a live violation. Marketing agencies sell name simplification as a positioning win, and the board reaches the licence holder.

A rebrand lands in the logo, the domain, the Google Business Profile name field and the paid-search headline, so read the licence certificate against the Google Business Profile name before approving one.

Does North Carolina require a licence number in advertising?

No. The only North Carolina rules reaching advertising, 21 NCAC 50 .0406(c) and 21 NCAC 12A .0501(a), cover telephone yellow page advertising for plumbing and heating contractors. No North Carolina rule names websites, Google Business Profile or paid search. Contracts, bids and permits are governed separately.

North Carolina is the quietest advertising regime of the six states Mindflow Marketing serves, and Florida Administrative Code 61G4-12.011(3) names Internet sites outright. A licence number in a Charlotte roofer’s footer is a trust decision the state leaves to the roofer.

Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act still reaches deceptive advertising in any medium, so a quiet rulebook narrows the exposure without closing it. Read 21 NCAC 50 .0406(c) and count its sentences about the internet.

Why does North Carolina search demand peak twice a year?

North Carolina runs a real heating season on top of its cooling season, and that is the second peak. The NOAA NCEI 1991–2020 Climate Normals put Charlotte Douglas at 3,390 annual heating degree days against 1,519 cooling, a 2.2 to 1 ratio and roughly 6.3 times the heating demand at Tampa or Orlando.

For an HVAC company that produces a winter no-heat emergency season and a second annual peak, so the search calendar carries two shoulders and a campaign built on a Florida rhythm is wrong twice a year.

US Census ACS 2024 1-year table B25035 puts the Charlotte metro median year of construction at 1999, against 1987 in Tampa, the newest housing stock of the Southeast metros Mindflow Marketing tracks. A page written for the replacement cycle misses the maintenance query Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT answer.

What does Mindflow Marketing deliver for a North Carolina company?

Five pillars run together inside one engagement, and I run all five myself: local SEO and Google Maps, organic search, AI visibility, reputation and brand SERP, and conversion tracking. Each is reported monthly with the denominator beside the number, and Share of Answer is scored quarterly.

Local SEO and Google Maps

We read Google Business Profile optimisation and map-grid tracking across the whole metro you sell in, not off a single pin. A grid tells you whether you are losing on trust signals or losing on distance, and those have different fixes.

Organic search

Technical foundations, site architecture and the searches that turn into high-ticket North Carolina jobs, built from the work you actually closed. Pages built from a keyword tool instead rank you in counties your crews will never drive to.

AI visibility and entity work

We run entity disambiguation, organisation schema, knowledge-graph alignment and passages written so an assistant can lift them whole. This decides whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews name your North Carolina company or a competitor.

Reputation and brand SERP

What a buyer and an assistant both see when they search your name. Under the $40,000 licence threshold this carries more weight in North Carolina than in states where a register entry does the vouching for you.

Conversion tracking

We track calls and forms through to the booked job. Visibility that never reaches a booked job still costs you the months it took to build, and that bill never appears on an invoice.

Measurement you can audit

Share of Answer across twelve frozen buying questions, three platforms, three runs each, scored out of twelve with screenshots archived and dated.

Rankings are never guaranteed. Anything we could not trace to a primary source is absent from this page, not estimated. The audit runs the same six layers described on the pricing page, and Share of Answer is scored quarterly.

HOW IT IS SCORED

How does Mindflow Marketing measure AI visibility for a North Carolina business?

Share of Answer. Twelve buying questions are frozen at the start of an engagement, then asked across three platforms, three runs each, screenshots archived. The score is reported quarterly with its denominator beside it. The platforms are Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, with Google AI Mode and Gemini read alongside.

Freezing the twelve questions is what makes the number comparable, because a drifting question set produces a score that only ever improves. Nobody can make ChatGPT recommend a Greensboro plumber on a named date. The buildable parts are the entity footprint, the citable pages, the Google Business Profile and the review base assistants draw on.

AEO and AI-visibility language is standard across the industry now, so the phrase sorts nobody. The checkable parts are the published method, the stated denominators, the named limits and the work ledger. Read the full methodology and a real monthly report before paying anything.

How the first 90 days work

Every engagement we run opens with a diagnostic, not a pitch. The first 90 days establish a baseline you can hold us to, fix what is structurally broken, and put the first measured movement on the record.

  1. Free Visibility Check. The twelve real buying questions for your trade, asked across Google Maps, Google and the assistants. You get the screenshots. No call required to receive it.
  2. Local Visibility Audit. Crawlability and indexation, entity and schema state, map-grid position across your North Carolina metro, review base, and the competitive gap. We deliver it written, with the working shown.
  3. Baseline measurement. Share of Answer scored before any work begins, so the starting number exists in writing and cannot be revised later.
  4. Foundations, weeks 1 to 6. Technical fixes, entity and organisation schema, Google Business Profile, and the pages that answer the questions North Carolina buyers actually ask.
  5. Authority and content, weeks 4 to 12. Citable pages, review systems, and the off-site corroboration assistants rely on when deciding whether a company is real.
  6. First remeasurement. The same twelve questions, the same conditions, scored against the baseline. Movement or no movement, both go in the report.

PROOF, AND ITS LIMITS

What has Mindflow Marketing produced, and is any of it in North Carolina?

Mindflow Marketing publishes results for two named clients, both with written permission, and neither is in North Carolina. Precision Fenceworks is a Georgia fencing company. Fireside Antiques is an eCommerce antiques dealer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A North Carolina company hiring Mindflow buys a method with out-of-state evidence behind it.

That Alpharetta loss is on proximity and not on trust signals. Atlanta: past 100,000 impressions in 16 months, no reachable map presence, because the pin sits in Alpharetta. Precision Fenceworks is a Georgia fence company that works Athens, Alpharetta, Atlanta and Gwinnett. Neither published client is a company of this market, and we are not going to imply otherwise.

Mindflow Marketing has no client in North Carolina and no measured baseline in any North Carolina market. Nothing on this page is evidence that the method works in Charlotte, Raleigh or Greensboro, and a North Carolina buyer should price that in.

Whether either company’s visibility became money is a question this page cannot answer. Two clients is not a large portfolio and Mindflow Marketing does not present it as one.

What does SEO and AI visibility cost in North Carolina?

Mindflow Marketing publishes every rate. A Visibility Check is free. A Local Visibility Audit is $3,500 to $7,500, credited within 30 days if you continue. We land that credit against your first invoice when a monthly partnership starts within 30 calendar days of delivery.

The credit caps at that first invoice and does not carry forward. The monthly partnership starts at $3,500 a month on a 90-day initial term, then runs month to month. No setup fee, no annual contract.

At the bottom of that range an audit is $3,500 against a first month of $3,500, so a North Carolina company that continues pays nothing for the diagnostic. At the top, a $7,500 audit against a $3,500 first month credits $3,500 and the remaining $4,000 is spent. Run that sum at your desk first.

The full ladder, with what sits inside each higher tier, is on the pricing page.

Which North Carolina metros and industries does Mindflow Marketing serve?

Mindflow Marketing serves North Carolina remotely from Atlanta, covering Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Concord, Huntersville, Matthews and Mint Hill, across Mecklenburg, Wake, Durham, Guilford, Forsyth, Union and Cabarrus counties.

One licensing regime and one state building code cover all three North Carolina metros, and climate, housing age and permitting authority separate them. Charlotte carries 6.3 times the heating demand of the Florida metros. Raleigh-Durham is two Census metros. Greensboro-Winston-Salem holds housing fifteen years older than Raleigh.

  • Charlotte: 6.3 times the heating demand of the Florida metros, and Mecklenburg County issues the permits for Charlotte addresses.
  • Raleigh–Durham: Two separate Census metros, and a statewide code local jurisdictions cannot exceed.
  • Greensboro–Winston-Salem: Housing fifteen years older than Raleigh, and two halves that permit in opposite ways.

Four groups, sorted by deal value: regional and multi-location home services across HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical, fencing, garage door and remodeling; high-value legal; specialty healthcare and medical aesthetics; considered-purchase eCommerce. Home services is where the documented Mindflow Marketing results are.

One won job has to pay for months of the work. One company per metro in each service category, founder-led, which caps how many North Carolina companies Mindflow Marketing can take and means turning down a second Charlotte HVAC company ready to sign.

Reading by trade: HVAC marketing in Charlotte. Every market we work sits on the markets index, and the office is documented at our Atlanta page.

North Carolina SEO and AI visibility: common questions

Do you have an office in North Carolina?

No. Mindflow Marketing holds one office and one Google Business Profile, both in Atlanta, Georgia, and works North Carolina remotely. No Charlotte, Raleigh or Greensboro address appears on this site, because none exists. Any agency advertising a Charlotte or Raleigh address should show a staffed one. Ask for the suite number, then count how many companies share it on Google Maps.

Do you have any North Carolina clients you can show me?

Not yet. The two published records are Precision Fenceworks in Georgia, verified live 2026-06-16, and Fireside Antiques in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, read from Google Search Console and Ahrefs on 2026-06-10. Neither is a North Carolina company. A North Carolina buyer is judging the published method and the named limits. If you need a named local result before signing, tell me now.

Does North Carolina require my licence number on my website?

No. 21 NCAC 50 .0406(c) and 21 NCAC 12A .0501(a) reach telephone yellow page advertising for plumbing and heating contractors, and no North Carolina rule names websites. Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act still reaches a deceptive claim in any medium.

Can I shorten my company name in North Carolina ads?

If you are an electrical contractor, no. 21 NCAC 18B .0402(b) restricts the business name you may advertise under, and shortening a licensed entity into a tidier brand is the compliance problem marketing agencies most often create by accident. We read the licence certificate against the Google Business Profile name before approving any North Carolina rebrand.

Will Mindflow work with two roofing companies in the same North Carolina metro?

No. One company per metro in each service category, so a second Raleigh roofer gets turned down while the first keeps the map positions it is paying for. That caps how big Mindflow Marketing gets, and it is the intended trade.

Where does your North Carolina business show up right now?

Twelve buying questions for your trade, asked across Google, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity in your North Carolina market. Free, with screenshots, no call required. I send you the screenshots whether or not we ever work together.
