Editorial standards: how we write, check and correct our pages

Every page on the Mindflow Marketing site is written to help an owner of a home-service or contracting company make a decision, and every claim on it should be checkable. This page explains where our facts come from, how we report numbers, how we label proof, who approves a page before it goes live, and how to tell us when we got something wrong.

01

Who are these pages written for?

We write for people who run home-service and contracting companies: plumbers, roofers, HVAC and electrical contractors, remodelers and the rest of the trades. We write the way one owner talks to another: plainly, without hype, and with any limit placed next to the claim it qualifies, not hidden at the bottom of the page.

02

Where our facts come from

We use four kinds of source, and we say which one a fact comes from:

  • What we offer. Prices and terms are kept in one place, so every page states them the same way.
  • Our own research. Figures from our studies come with their sample, dates and method, published on our methodology page.
  • Platform documentation. When we describe how Google or another platform works, we link to its own help or policy page where we can, with the date we read it on our research and policy pages.
  • Clients' own words. We quote a client only with their approval, word for word, with the attribution they approved.
03

How we report numbers

We give a count with its base, such as "352 of 1,183", together with the date and the source. We don't turn our own counts into percentages, because some bases change when a record is removed and a percentage would hide that. We use medians where a few large values would distort an average.

04

How we label proof

We label each piece of evidence for what it is: a client's own words, our own research, or what your own report would show. A result a client describes stays theirs. We don't present it as a figure we measured, and we say what it leaves out. We publish a client's name and story only with their approval. Our results page shows these labels in use.

05

What we won't claim

  • We don't promise rankings, a place on Google Maps or a mention in an AI answer. No one can.
  • We don't invent clients, reviews, results or numbers.
  • We don't say a study "proves" something it only observed.
  • We don't name the businesses in our research samples.
06

Who checks a page before it goes live

Our pages are drafted with AI assistance, then researched and checked against our records and sources. Publication requires the approval of Youssef Hodaigui. Research and guides carry his name as the accountable author only where he has actually reviewed them. How we use AI is set out in our AI disclosure.

07

How we keep pages up to date

Research figures and platform references carry the date they were collected or read. A "last reviewed" date changes only when a review actually happened. When a price or term changes, we update every page that mentions it.

08

What happens if we get something wrong?

If you think something on this site is wrong, email youssef@mindflowmarketing.com with the page and what you believe is wrong. We'll check it against our records and sources. If we confirm an error, we fix it within 5 business days of confirming it and add a dated correction note to the page.

09

What's our interest in what we publish?

Mindflow Marketing sells SEO, AI search optimization, review and conversion work, and websites to home-service and contracting companies. Our research and guides support that business, and we say so plainly. Mindflow paid for its own research, and we don't present a paid placement as independent opinion.
