Quick answer

What does marketing for a plumbing company need to do?

Plumbing calls come in two kinds. In an emergency, the homeowner calls the first plumber they trust; for a water heater or repipe, they compare. Marketing for a plumber has to put you on the map with recent reviews and a phone that works, and give planned-job buyers enough to choose you.

What makes plumbing marketing different?

Plumbing calls split between emergencies and planned jobs like water heaters and repipes. An emergency caller needs to reach you fast; a planned-job buyer needs a clear service page and reviews to compare. We set up your profile and pages for both.

  • Emergencies are decided fast.Burst pipes and backups don't wait. Recent reviews, accurate hours and a working call button make it easier for a homeowner to check you and get in touch. We keep your hours, phone number and reviews current.
  • Planned jobs are compared.Water heaters, repipes and sewer lines are bigger tickets. Buyers read reviews and look for a clear service page before they ask for a quote. We give each planned service a clear page.
  • Not every missed call is a lost job.One plumber in our research counted dozens of missed calls in a month; another logged every missed call and found most were junk. We check that calls and forms are tracked so your report shows what your tracking records.
  • A shared inquiry may reach several plumbers. Some lead services send the same request to several plumbers and handymen at once.

Case study

Case study: a fence company, from one county to Metro Atlanta

The problem

"we struggled to generate consistent leads online and were invisible in search results."

The work

SEO and web design over an 8-year partnership, plus reputation management.

The results Zack Goekjian (CEO) describes in his testimonial
  • "Within the first year, our website started ranking for competitive keywords like 'Atlanta fence installation' and 'Atlanta fence company'"
  • 250% more qualified leads
  • from 1 county to several across Metro Atlanta
  • from 5 people to 12
  • reputation work that helped maintain a 4.9-star average rating.

These are Zack's own figures from his testimonial, not numbers we measured. Results depend on your market and starting point.

Which sources did ChatGPT cite when asked about a named plumbing company?

In our October 2026 study, we asked ChatGPT (API, with web search) whether named plumbing companies were legitimate and good to hire, two answers per business. License records and the BBB led, followed by the company's own website. When we asked who to call without naming anyone, the answers often cited national franchise sites.

What do plumbing websites and profiles show?

Across 566 saved plumbing homepages, almost all had a click-to-call link and most mentioned emergency service. Reviews move fast in plumbing. Among plumbers in the Google Maps top three, the 47 that ChatGPT named when asked who to call had a median of 48 new Google reviews in the last 90 days; the 84 it didn't name had 9.5.

When do plumbing searches peak?

Plumbing has no strong national season, so steady visibility matters more than seasonal pushes. Searches are highest in July nationally, but the busiest month is only about 1.6 times the quietest, and city peaks run from January to July. Atlanta and Nashville peak in winter, which lines up with freeze season; Tampa peaks in February.

Mindflow is run by its founder, Youssef Hodaigui, who has done SEO since 2004.

  2. One plan, not five vendors.

SEO, AI answers, reviews and conversion work are planned together, so nothing falls between agencies.

  3. Built for home-service companies.

We've worked with a Georgia fence company for 8 years. Read what its CEO says below.

What clients say

"Mindflow Marketing has been our digital partner for 8 years, and they've been instrumental in transforming Precision Fenceworks from a small local operation to the established fence company we are today. … What impresses me most is how Youssef takes the time to understand the fencing industry specifically, not just generic marketing. I'd recommend Mindflow Marketing to any home service business looking for a digital partner who delivers measurable results and genuinely cares about your business growth."

The work

Will this fix missed calls?
It makes calling easier and we check that calls and forms are tracked, so you can see how many come in and when. Answering them stays with your team; if after-hours calls go unanswered, more visibility won't change that.
Can one plan cover plumbing and HVAC?
Yes. One plan covers the service lines you want to grow; the number of service lines is one of the two things that set the price. Our HVAC page covers the heating and cooling side. Tell us you offer both when you request the free review; your proposal sets the priorities for each service line.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If yours can't turn visits into calls, we'll say so and quote a site separately.

Cost and terms

Should I buy leads from Angi instead?
It's a different model: you pay for each lead, and the same homeowner can be sent to several plumbers. We help generate requests through your own profile and site, and Mindflow doesn't sell or share them. You can run both.
Am I locked into a contract?
The first 90 days are committed and billed monthly. After that it's month to month with 30 days' notice.
Who owns my accounts and website?
You do. Every account stays in your name, and website files and copy are yours once paid.
Will you work with my competitor?
No. We won't work with your direct competitor in your area.
Do you run Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads?
Case by case. Our plans cover SEO, AI search, your Google Business Profile, reviews and conversion. When paid ads fit your market and goals, we scope Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads in your proposal. Ad spend goes to the platform and isn't part of our fee.

AI and results

Why do AI answers mention the big franchises?
When we asked ChatGPT who to call without naming a plumber, the answers cited national franchise sites in 179 of 250 answers. For an independent plumber, the answer to a question about you by name leans on records you can keep accurate or flag for correction: your license or registration record, your BBB profile and your own site, the three sources cited most in our study. Recent reviews back them up.
How long does SEO take?
Usually months, not weeks. How fast depends on your competitors and on how complete your Business Profile and site are today.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. No one can guarantee a spot on Google or in an AI answer. We show you the work and the results.
Is AI SEO extra?
No. AI search optimization is included in SEO in every plan.
