Quick answer

What does marketing for an HVAC company need to do?

HVAC demand comes in two waves, AC in summer and heat in winter, with quiet weeks between. When the system fails, a homeowner calls the first company they trust; when they replace it, they compare. Marketing for an HVAC company has to keep you visible in both seasons and ready before the lull.

What makes HVAC marketing different?

HVAC companies live with two seasons, urgent no-heat and no-AC calls, and big replacement decisions that get compared on financing and brands. Your profile needs to help emergency callers reach you; your site also needs to help replacement buyers compare.

  • Two seasons, not one.AC and heating demand peak months apart, with a lull in late fall. We plan pages and profile updates ahead of each peak; your city's months are in the table below.
  • No-heat and no-AC calls go fast.A homeowner with a dead system wants someone now, so recent reviews and a phone number that works carry a lot of weight. We keep your hours, phone number and reviews current so that call is easy.
  • Replacements are compared.A new system is a big purchase: buyers look at financing, reviews and brands before they ask for a quote. We give replacements their own pages with financing and brands stated plainly.
  • Ads follow the weather. One HVAC owner in our research said paid clicks pile up when you're already busy. Your pages, profile and reviews stay in place when you pause ad spend.

Which sources did ChatGPT cite when asked about a named HVAC company?

In our October 2026 study, we asked ChatGPT (API, with web search) whether named HVAC companies were legitimate and good to hire, two answers per business. The answers most often cited the BBB, license records and the company's own website. Review pages on Birdeye and manufacturer pages such as Carrier or Trane came up too.

What do HVAC websites and profiles show?

Across 549 saved HVAC homepages, financing and emergency service were common and most showed an online booking option. Reviews move fast in HVAC. Among HVAC companies in the Google Maps top three, the 37 that ChatGPT named when asked who to call had a median of 52 new Google reviews in the last 90 days; the 97 it didn't name had 6.

Before we talk

Questions HVAC companies ask

Can you help fill the slow months?
We can't promise calls, but we can plan for the lull. Your pages, profile updates and review requests are scheduled ahead of your local quiet season, using when searches actually peak in your market, so the work is in place before demand returns. It won't fill next week's schedule; it gets you ready for the next peak.
We do HVAC and plumbing. Is that one plan?
Yes. One plan covers the service lines you want to grow; the number of service lines is one of the two things that set the price. Our plumbing page shows what we check for that side of the business. Tell us you offer both when you request the free review; your proposal sets the priorities for each service line.
Do manufacturer dealer listings matter?
In our study, answers about named HVAC companies cited a manufacturer, certification or trade-body page in 411 of 1,500 answers. We keep your dealer status and brands consistent on your site and profile. We can't say how much any single listing weighs.
Should I keep paying for HVAC leads?
That's your call; it's a different model. A lead service charges per lead and can send the same homeowner to several companies. We help generate calls and requests through your own Business Profile, website and reviews, and Mindflow doesn't sell or share them. You see the calls and requests in your monthly report.
Can you promote our maintenance plan?
Yes. We can give your maintenance plan its own page, explain what it includes in plain words and make it easy to ask about from your site. Whether it sells depends on the plan and your team; we report the calls and requests your tracking records.
How long does SEO take?
Usually months, not weeks. How fast depends on your competitors and on how complete your Business Profile and site are today.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. No one can guarantee a spot on Google or in an AI answer. We show you the work and the results.
Is AI SEO extra?
No. AI search optimization is included in SEO in every plan.
Am I locked into a contract?
The first 90 days are committed and billed monthly. After that it's month to month with 30 days' notice.
Who owns my accounts and website?
You do. Every account stays in your name, and website files and copy are yours once paid.
Will you work with my competitor?
No. We won't work with your direct competitor in your area.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If yours can't turn visits into calls, we'll say so and quote a site separately.
Do you run Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads?
Case by case. Our plans cover SEO, AI search, your Google Business Profile, reviews and conversion. When paid ads fit your market and goals, we scope Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads in your proposal. Ad spend goes to the platform and isn't part of our fee.
