GBP suspended? The evidence-complete appeal
One appeal, filed once, with the documents attached. The most common mistake is appealing early and empty.
- Do not appeal on the first day. An empty appeal makes the second one harder.
- Every document must match the profile character for character.
- Work out the cause and fix it before filing, then say what you fixed.
- File once. Repeat submissions reset the queue.
Do not appeal yet
The instinct is to appeal within the hour. Resist it. An appeal filed without evidence is usually rejected, and a rejected appeal makes the second attempt harder.
Spend the first day assembling instead. Nothing about the delay hurts you, and the completeness is what decides it.
What to assemble
Business registration or incorporation documents showing the exact legal name. A utility bill or lease for the address. Licensing where the trade requires it. Insurance certificates. Photographs of signage, premises and vehicles. Branded invoices or paperwork.
Every document must agree with the profile, character for character. A registration reading Precision Fenceworks LLC against a profile reading Precision Fenceworks Ltd is a contradiction, and contradictions are what got the profile flagged.
Then work out why
Guessing produces a weak appeal. The usual causes: a name containing keywords rather than the real trading name, an address that cannot be verified or is a virtual office, a category change made alongside other edits, a home-based profile showing a street address, or a competitor report.
Fix the cause before you file, and say in the appeal what you fixed.
File once
One appeal, evidence attached, plain description of the business, what changed, and what you corrected. No arguing. No repeat submissions while one is open, which resets the queue and reads as pressure.
Then wait. Days to weeks is normal.

That reinstatement is certain. It is not, and no agency can make it so. Some profiles do not come back, and the honest planning assumption is that you might be rebuilding rather than recovering.
