FOUNDER-LED

Youssef Hodaigui, twenty-five years in search, founded Mindflow Marketing and runs every engagement personally.

NO CHARLOTTE OFFICE

Mindflow works from one place: Atlanta, Georgia. There is no Mindflow office in Charlotte and no address for us here, because none exists. This is a market we serve rather than a market we sit in. Our one real location is here.

PRICING IN PUBLIC

Every rate is on the pricing page. No quote call needed.

ONE PER CATEGORY

One company per metro in each service category. Your Charlotte HVAC competitor cannot buy this seat.

What is AI visibility, and how is it different from SEO?

AI visibility, also called answer engine optimization or AEO, is the practice of getting a business named inside AI-generated answers. SEO earns a ranked link a buyer clicks. AEO earns a mention inside the answer itself, in Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini, where no click may ever happen.

The two run on overlapping machinery. Google states that its generative features are rooted in its core Search ranking and quality systems, so a page has to be indexed and eligible before it can be quoted. Classic SEO is the floor, not an alternative to it.

What sits above that floor is different work. An assistant is choosing which Charlotte HVAC companies to name, and it draws on how clearly your company is defined as an entity, how consistently it is described across the web, what independent sources say about it, and whether your pages answer the question in a passage it can lift whole.

Nobody can force a recommendation. Mindflow Marketing builds the entity footprint, the citable pages and the review base the assistants draw on, then scores where you land on twelve frozen buying questions across three platforms each quarter, with the screenshots archived and dated.

THE MARKET

What actually shapes an HVAC search plan in Charlotte?

Climate load, licence rule, permit authority, code edition. Each row names the statute or agency behind it.

Charlotte HVAC operating conditions, checked 2026-07-28 against the statutes and agencies named in each row
Condition What it is Source
Climate loadCharlotte Douglas records 3,390 annual heating degree days against 1,519 cooling in the NOAA 1991–2020 normals, a ratio of 2.2 to 1. Tampa reads 539 and 3,611, Orlando 571 and 3,424, both roughly 0.15 to 1.NOAA NCEI U.S. Climate Normals 1991–2020, Charlotte Douglas, Tampa and Orlando. Ratios computed from those published figures.
Heating licenceNorth Carolina licenses heating work through the State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors, with no dollar threshold at all. The heating classes run H-1 for steam and hot water, H-2 for air conditioning above fifteen tons, and H-3 for fifteen tons and below.N.C.G.S. 87-21; NC State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors
Contractor thresholdThat sits alongside the general contractor licence, which is required only once the cost of the undertaking reaches $40,000 under G.S. 87-1(a).N.C.G.S. 87-1(a)
Permit authorityMecklenburg County Code Enforcement, a division of LUESA, issues building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits under N.C.G.S. 160D-1110, rather than the City of Charlotte. The city’s own site confirms it.N.C.G.S. 160D-1110; Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement; City of Charlotte permitting guidance
Code edition in forceNorth Carolina runs a statewide building code that local jurisdictions may not exceed, and the edition in force in July 2026 is still the 2018 NC Residential Code. The 2024 edition was delayed by Session Law 2025-2, which ties its effective date to the appointment of a Residential Code Council the State Fire Marshal records as still undetermined.G.S. 143-138(e); NC Session Law 2025-2; NC Office of the State Fire Marshal
OUR READING, NOT THE SOURCES

What we read from that, and this part is our judgement rather than anything the sources state: That is a 6.3 times difference in heating demand, and it produces something the Florida metros structurally cannot have: a genuine winter no-heat emergency season, with furnace and heat-pump failures creating a second annual peak.

The search calendar here has two shoulders rather than one. A campaign built on a Florida rhythm, or on a national template written for cooling-led markets, will be mistimed twice a year. Emergency positioning that only runs in July misses half the year’s urgent demand.

Roofing and fencing ride that threshold and are unlicensed below it. Heating and electrical do not. So in the same market, a $20,000 roof needs no state licence and a $400 heating repair does. That asymmetry is worth stating plainly in copy, because buyers assume the opposite. Companies that assume a city permit counter lose a day finding out.

Census supplies the figures; the ranking is ours: Housing here is the newest of the three Southeast metros we compare, at a median year built of 1999 in the city and 1998 across the metro, with the highest single-family detached share at 65.5% of metro units. Newer stock plus detached dominance pushes the work mix toward maintenance, efficiency and upgrade rather than wholesale replacement.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
  • Charlotte has 6.3 times the heating demand of Tampa or Orlando
  • The demand calendar has two annual peaks rather than one
  • North Carolina licenses heating work with no dollar threshold
  • Mecklenburg County issues the permits, not the City of Charlotte

Figures are carried from the primary sources cited on our Charlotte market page and Raleigh–Durham market page: NOAA NCEI U.S. Climate Normals 1991–2020 for Charlotte Douglas, Tampa and Orlando; US Census ACS tables B25024, B25035 and B25037; Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement and City of Charlotte permitting guidance under N.C.G.S. 160D-1110.

Licensing is from North Carolina General Statutes 87-1(a) and 87-21, and the NC State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors. The statewide code position is from G.S. 143-138(e), NC Office of the State Fire Marshal and Session Law 2025-2. Checked 2026-07-28.

What does Mindflow Marketing deliver for a Charlotte HVAC company?

Five pillars run inside one engagement, each reported with the denominator beside the number, so figures can be checked.

Local SEO and Google Maps

Google Business Profile work and map-grid tracking across Mecklenburg County, not one pin. A grid shows whether you lose on trust or distance.

Organic search

Technical foundations, architecture, and the searches that become installs and replacements, built from jobs you closed.

AI visibility and entity work

Entity disambiguation, organisation schema, knowledge-graph alignment, and passages an assistant can lift whole. This decides whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or AI Overviews name you.

Reputation and brand SERP

What a buyer and an assistant see when they search your name: licence number, issuing board, review base, published where both read them.

Conversion tracking

Calls and forms tracked through to the booked job. Visibility that never reaches a booked job still costs the months it took.

Measurement you can audit

Share of Answer across twelve frozen buying questions, three platforms, three runs each, scored quarterly with screenshots archived and dated. Every figure on this page has a source and a date.

Look for cost per lead, conversion rate or a local benchmark and you will not find them. Season and market move all three, and a figure fixed on this page would be wrong by the time it reached you. Yours lives in your own account, where the calculators can use it.

We publish the complete measurement protocol before you pay anything: the six-layer audit, the sampling method, a real report with the numbers left in. No ranking guarantees.

Rankings are never guaranteed. Anything we could not trace to a primary source is absent from this page, not estimated. The audit runs the same six layers described on the pricing page, and Share of Answer is scored quarterly.

How the first 90 days work

Every engagement opens with a diagnostic. The first 90 days set a baseline you can hold us to and put measured movement on the record.

  1. Free Visibility Check. Twelve real heating and cooling questions across Google Maps, Google and the assistants. You get the screenshots.
  2. Local Visibility Audit. Crawlability, entity and schema state, map-grid position across Mecklenburg County, review base, and the competitive gap.
  3. Baseline measurement. Share of Answer scored before any work begins, so the starting number exists in writing and cannot be revised later.
  4. Foundations, weeks 1 to 6. Technical fixes, entity and organisation schema, Google Business Profile, and licence details published where buyers and assistants read them.
  5. Authority and content, weeks 4 to 12. Citable pages, review systems, and the off-site corroboration assistants rely on when deciding whether a company is real.
  6. First remeasurement. The same twelve questions, the same conditions, scored against the baseline. Movement or none, both go in the report.

PUBLISHED RESULTS

What has Mindflow Marketing actually produced?

Two clients have given written permission to publish their numbers, and neither is a Charlotte HVAC company. Precision Fenceworks is a fence company working four Georgia markets, verified live 2026-06-16. Fireside Antiques is an eCommerce antiques dealer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with Search Console and Ahrefs data pulled 2026-06-10.

PRECISION FENCEWORKS · GEORGIA

Second in the Athens map pack and third organic, named by three of the four major assistants with Perplexity giving them as its first pick. First organic and third map pack in Alpharetta, beaten on distance, not on trust signals. Page one organic in Lawrenceville with no map presence.

87 AI mentions across 72 cited pages earned for Precision Fenceworks, and 631 Precision Fenceworks reviews at a 4.9 average.

In Atlanta the same client has no reachable map presence against 100,000-plus impressions in sixteen months. Their pin sits in Alpharetta, proximity decides the Google map pack, and no page moves a building.

FIRESIDE ANTIQUES · LOUISIANA

Five of eight tracked core terms ranking strong for Fireside Antiques, with dining tables, armoires, mirrors and coffee tables all recovered to first position after a ranking dip.

A national eCommerce catalogue, here as evidence of method and no kind of forecast for a Charlotte heating contractor.

Neither client is in Charlotte, and Mindflow Marketing is not going to imply otherwise. What transfers between markets is the method: the audit, the frozen questions, the stated denominators and the work ledger. What does not transfer is a promise about your own street.

What we cannot show: revenue, lead volume and job values for Precision Fenceworks, and sales and revenue for Fireside Antiques. Neither client’s permission covers it. So we cannot tell you whether this visibility became money, and we would rather say that than let a chart imply it. Two clients is not a large portfolio and we are not going to present it as one.

What does HVAC SEO and AI visibility cost in Charlotte?

Mindflow Marketing publishes every rate. A Visibility Check is free. A Local Visibility Audit is $3,500 to $7,500 and credits against your first invoice if you start a monthly partnership within 30 calendar days of delivery. The monthly partnership starts at $3,500 a month on a 90-day initial term, then runs month to month. No setup fee and no annual contract.

The credit caps at that first invoice and does not carry forward. At the bottom of the range a $3,500 audit against a $3,500 first month costs you nothing if you continue. At the top, a $7,500 audit against a $3,500 first month credits $3,500 and the remainder is spent. We would rather you ran that sum at your own desk than found it on an invoice.

The full ladder, with what sits inside each tier, is on the pricing page.

Which Charlotte areas and industries does Mindflow Marketing serve?

We serve the Charlotte metro remotely from Atlanta, covering Uptown, SouthPark, Ballantyne, Dilworth, Myers Park, NoDa, University City, Matthews, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Pineville and Concord, across Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus and Gaston counties.

Alongside HVAC the work covers roofing, plumbing, electrical, fencing, garage door and remodeling, plus legal, healthcare and considered-purchase eCommerce. The thread is deal value: one won job pays for months of work.

This page covers hvac specifically. The wider market picture for this city, covering climate, housing stock, storm exposure and which body issues the permit, sits on the Charlotte market page, and the state rules are on the North Carolina page.

What do Charlotte HVAC companies ask?

Do you have an office in Charlotte?

No. Mindflow Marketing works from Atlanta and serves Charlotte remotely. We will not rent a mailbox to look local, because a fake address is the kind of thing that gets a Google Business Profile suspended. Every meeting is remote and the work is identical.

Do you have any Charlotte clients you can show me?

Not yet. The two clients who gave permission to publish are in Georgia and Louisiana, and neither one is an HVAC company. Both records are linked above. If a named local result is what you need before signing, we would rather you knew now than after an invoice.

Why does Charlotte need different seasonal timing than Florida?

Heating demand is the reason. Because it carries 3,390 heating degree days against 1,519 cooling, a 2.2 to 1 ratio, where Tampa and Orlando run roughly 0.15 to 1. That creates a winter no-heat emergency season and a second annual demand peak. A Florida calendar funds one peak.

Does a small heating repair need a licence in North Carolina?

Yes. The State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors licenses heating work with no dollar threshold, unlike the $40,000 general contractor threshold that roofing rides. So the licence number exists from day one, and we publish it where buyers and assistants read it.

Who issues the permit in Charlotte?

Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement, under N.C.G.S. 160D-1110, rather than the City of Charlotte. This catches people out regularly. It matters to marketing too, because a page naming the wrong desk reads as out-of-town and hands an assistant a reason to prefer a competitor.

Where does your HVAC company show up in Charlotte right now?

A free Visibility Check shows where you stand across Google and AI answers for hvac in Charlotte, before any conversation about scope or price.
