SEO for Pest Control Companies

Mindflow runs SEO for pest control companies. We help homeowners find you when they search for pest control, an exterminator or termite treatment in the towns you want, on Google Maps, in search results and in AI answers. Your Business Profile, reviews and conversion work are in the same plan.

What does SEO do for a pest control company?

SEO for a pest control company is the work that gets you found when a homeowner first sees the problem, and keeps your recurring plans easy to find and compare. It covers the Google map, the regular results and AI answers like Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT. The calls and requests come through your own profile and site; Mindflow doesn't sell or share leads.

Homeowners look for pest control in three ways:

  • The service and the place"pest control near me," "exterminator in [your town]" or "termite treatment," often on a phone.
  • The mapthe three companies Google shows first, with their reviews and photos.
  • Your nameafter a neighbor's recommendation or a truck they saw, they look you up to check you're licensed and well reviewed.

What homeowners and AI tools check about a pest control company, and when pest searches peak in each city, is on our pest control marketing page.

Which searches bring pest control customers?

Of the three pest searches we measured, "pest control" is by far the biggest: across the US, it averages about 201,000 searches a month in Google's estimates, against about 74,000 for "exterminator" and about 40,500 for "termite treatment." Each search happens in one town, so the work is getting found for those words in the towns you serve.

Which pages does a pest control website need?

A pest control site needs a page for each service and plan you want more of, and a town page only where you have real customers. In our crawl of 661 pest control sites, 538 had five or more service pages and 220 had three or more location pages. Most homepages named the trade in their title tag; far fewer named a city.

On pest control sites in our researchCount
Five or more service pages (of 661 sites)538
Three or more location or service-area pages (of 661)220
Homepage title names the trade (of 612 with a title)585
Homepage title names a city (of 612)244
LocalBusiness schema on the homepage (of 605)300

For a pest control company, the treatment pages (termites, mosquitoes, rodents) answer the first call, and each plan page says what ongoing service covers.

Across all eight trades in our study, Maps top-three businesses that ChatGPT also named more often had three or more location pages (142 of 323 sites) than those it didn't name (156 of 752). LocalBusiness schema on the homepage didn't separate the two groups (139 of 298 homepages vs 352 of 648). For pest control, ChatGPT named 41 of the 150 companies in the Maps top three, so a map spot and an AI mention are separate results, and we work on both.

Site counts: Mindflow research, saved website crawls and homepages of home-service businesses in 50 metros, October 2026, counted from our saved data files, before the study's final review. An association, not a cause: named businesses also tend to be bigger. ChatGPT counts: Mindflow Home-Service Visibility Study, 50 US metros, October 3–17, 2026; ChatGPT means the OpenAI API with web search, asked which companies a homeowner should call. What should you ask before hiring a pest control SEO company?

Of eight agency pages that ranked for pest control SEO and marketing searches in Google's US results on October 21, 2026, two stated contract terms and two said who owns the accounts. Ask any pest control SEO company, us included, these five questions, and get the answers in writing.

AskWhat a straight answer sounds like
Who owns the accounts and the website?Everything in your name, and you keep it if you leave.
How long am I committed?A short fixed start, then month to month, in writing.
Will you work with another pest control company in my area?A clear yes or no for your area, not "it depends."
What happens in the slow months?Profile, pages and reviews kept moving, with service pages updated before your busy season.
Will you build pages for services we don't offer? No. Pages only for the treatments and plans you want more of.

Our answers on ownership, commitment and competitors are in the questions at the end of this page. You deal with Youssef Hodaigui directly: calls and texts are answered as they come in, emails usually within hours.

Questions about pest control SEO

How much does pest control SEO cost?
With Mindflow, plans start at $2,800 a month for one metro, $4,500 for a metro and the cities around it, and $8,500 for three or more metros. Your price depends on how competitive pest control is in your market and how many services you want to grow. There's no setup fee, and you get your exact price in writing first. See plans and prices.
How do we show up for "pest control near me"?
Google usually shows a map of local companies for that search, and it says local results weigh relevance, distance and prominence: how well your profile matches, how close you are and how well known your business is. We keep your profile complete and active, with your plans and treatments listed as services, build the pages behind it and keep reviews coming in. Distance is the one part nobody can change.
Should our homepage title name our city?
Usually, yes, if most of your work is in one metro. A title that says what you do and where tells Google and homeowners the same thing your profile does. If you work in several cities, name your main metro on the homepage and give the other towns their own pages, where you have real customers there.
How long does SEO take?
Usually months, not weeks. How fast depends on your competitors and on how complete your Business Profile and site are today.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. No one can guarantee a spot on Google or in an AI answer. We show you the work and the results.
Is AI SEO extra?
No. AI search optimization is included in SEO in every plan.
Am I locked into a contract?
The first 90 days are committed and billed monthly. After that it's month to month with 30 days' notice.
Who owns my accounts and website?
You do. Every account stays in your name, and website files and copy are yours once paid.
Will you work with my competitor?
No. We won't work with your direct competitor in your area.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If yours can't turn visits into calls, we'll say so and quote a site separately.
Do you run Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads?
Case by case. Our plans cover SEO, AI search, your Google Business Profile, reviews and conversion. When paid ads fit your market and goals, we scope Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads in your proposal. Ad spend goes to the platform and isn't part of our fee.
