Water damage restoration

SEO for Restoration Companies

Mindflow runs SEO for water damage restoration companies. We help homeowners find you when they search for water damage restoration and the work that follows in the towns you cover, on Google Maps, in search results and in AI answers. Your Business Profile, reviews and conversion work are in the same plan.

What does SEO do for a restoration company?

SEO for a restoration company is the work that gets you found the moment water is on the floor, and makes your hours, certifications and process easy to check before the homeowner calls. It covers the Google map, the regular results and AI answers like Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT. The calls come through your own profile and site; Mindflow doesn't sell or share them.

Homeowners look for a restoration company in three ways:

  • The service and the place"water damage restoration near me" or "water damage restoration in [your town]," often on a phone.
  • The mapthe three companies Google shows first, with their reviews, hours and photos.
  • Your nameafter a plumber's or an adjuster's referral, they look you up to check you're certified and well reviewed.

What homeowners and AI tools check about a restoration company, and when water damage searches peak in each city, is on our restoration marketing page.

Source: Mindflow research, Google Ads search-volume estimates, average monthly searches for the 12 months to September 2026. City figures count searches located in the city itself, not its suburbs, so a metro's total is larger. Searches aren't booked jobs, and a single storm or freeze can move a month's number a long way.

Which pages does a restoration website need?

A restoration site needs a page for each service you want more of and a town page only where you've done real jobs. In our crawl of 601 restoration sites, 378 had five or more service pages and 209 had three or more location pages. Most homepages named the trade in their title tag; far fewer named a city.

On restoration sites in our researchCount
Five or more service pages (of 601 sites)378
Three or more location or service-area pages (of 601)209
Homepage title names the trade (of 463 with a title)421
Homepage title names a city (of 463)174
LocalBusiness schema on the homepage (of 445)189

For a restoration company, the water damage page carries the emergency call and the mold, fire and rebuild pages carry the work that follows it.

Across all eight trades in our study, Maps top-three businesses that ChatGPT also named more often had three or more location pages (142 of 323 sites) than those it didn't name (156 of 752). LocalBusiness schema on the homepage didn't separate the two groups (139 of 298 homepages vs 352 of 648). For water damage restoration, ChatGPT named 45 of the 149 companies in the Maps top three, so a map spot and an AI mention are separate results, and we work on both.

Site counts: Mindflow research, saved website crawls and homepages of home-service businesses in 50 metros, October 2026, counted from our saved data files, before the study's final review. An association, not a cause: named businesses also tend to be bigger. ChatGPT counts: Mindflow Home-Service Visibility Study, 50 US metros, October 3–17, 2026; ChatGPT means the OpenAI API with web search, asked which companies a homeowner should call. 2. Next

build what your customers search for.

A page for each service and town you really cover, answers to the questions customers ask, and a review process your team can run.

  3. Ongoing

    grow and report.

New pages where the searches are, review replies, changes that turn more visits into calls, and a plain report on what we did, what moved and what's next. You get a written report every month and a call every quarter.

What should you ask before hiring a restoration SEO company?

Of four restoration agency pages we reviewed on October 28, 2026, one stated contract terms and none said who owns the accounts. Ask any restoration SEO company, us included, these five questions, and get the answers in writing. Some restoration owners already pay for calls, so ask who owns the calls as well as the accounts.

AskWhat a straight answer sounds like
Who owns the accounts and the website?Everything in your name, and you keep it if you leave.
How long am I committed?A short fixed start, then month to month, in writing.
Will you work with another restoration company in my area?A clear yes or no for your area, not "it depends."
Are the calls mine alone?Calls from your own profile and site are yours, not sold or shared.
Will my after-hours availability show everywhere?Your hours, phone and service area right on your profile, site and listings, so a homeowner at 2 a.m. can see you're open.

Our answers on ownership, commitment and competitors are in the questions at the end of this page. You deal with Youssef Hodaigui directly: calls and texts are answered as they come in, emails usually within hours.

Questions about restoration SEO

How much does restoration SEO cost?
With Mindflow, plans start at $2,800 a month for one metro, $4,500 for a metro and the cities around it, and $8,500 for three or more metros. Your price depends on how competitive restoration is in your market and how many services you want to grow. There's no setup fee, and you get your exact price in writing first. See plans and prices.
How do we show up for "water damage restoration near me"?
Google usually shows a map of local companies for that search, and it says local results weigh relevance, distance and prominence: how well your profile matches, how close you are and how well known your business is. We keep your profile complete and active, with hours that match how you take calls, and keep reviews coming in.
Where should our certifications go?
On the service pages where homeowners decide, on your about page with the people who hold them, and in your Business Profile description. Use the certifying body's exact name and keep it the same everywhere, so homeowners and AI tools reading different sources find the same facts. We check them as part of keeping your listings accurate.
How long does SEO take?
Usually months, not weeks. How fast depends on your competitors and on how complete your Business Profile and site are today.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. No one can guarantee a spot on Google or in an AI answer. We show you the work and the results.
Is AI SEO extra?
No. AI search optimization is included in SEO in every plan.
Am I locked into a contract?
The first 90 days are committed and billed monthly. After that it's month to month with 30 days' notice.
Who owns my accounts and website?
You do. Every account stays in your name, and website files and copy are yours once paid.
Will you work with my competitor?
No. We won't work with your direct competitor in your area.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If yours can't turn visits into calls, we'll say so and quote a site separately.
Do you run Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads?
Case by case. Our plans cover SEO, AI search, your Google Business Profile, reviews and conversion. When paid ads fit your market and goals, we scope Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads in your proposal. Ad spend goes to the platform and isn't part of our fee.
