Houston Plumbing SEO and AI Visibility Agency

Mindflow Marketing helps Houston plumbing companies get found on Google and named by the AI engines buyers now ask first: Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. Founder-led, served from Atlanta, with published pricing and a measurement protocol you can read before you spend a dollar.

In Texas the advertisement is the regulated act. You need a responsible master plumber before the phone rings.

FOUNDER-LED

Mindflow Marketing was founded by Youssef Hodaigui, twenty-five years in search, and he runs every engagement personally.

NO HOUSTON OFFICE

Mindflow works from one place: Atlanta, Georgia. There is no Mindflow office in Houston and no address for us here, because none exists. This is a market we serve rather than a market we sit in. Our one real location is here.

PRICING IN PUBLIC

Every rate is on the pricing page. No quote call required to learn what this costs.

ONE PER CATEGORY

One company per metro in each service category. The plumbing company across town cannot buy the same seat.

What is AI visibility, and how is it different from SEO?

AI visibility, also called answer engine optimization or AEO, is the practice of getting a business named inside AI-generated answers. SEO earns a ranked link a buyer clicks. AEO earns a mention inside the answer itself, in Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini, where no click may ever happen.

The two run on overlapping machinery. Google states that its generative features are rooted in its core Search ranking and quality systems, so a page has to be indexed and eligible before it can be quoted. Classic SEO is the floor, not an alternative to it.

What sits above that floor is different work. An assistant is choosing which Houston plumbing companies to name, and it draws on how clearly your company is defined as an entity, how consistently it is described across the web, what independent sources say about it, and whether your pages answer the question in a passage it can lift whole.

Nobody can force a recommendation. Mindflow Marketing builds the entity footprint, the citable pages and the review base the assistants draw on, then scores where you land on twelve frozen buying questions across three platforms each quarter, with the screenshots archived and dated.

THE MARKET

What actually shapes a Houston plumbing search plan?

Three conditions set plumbing in Houston apart from the trade anywhere else we work: a licence rule that reaches the advertising itself, a permit boundary that stops at the city limit, and an old city inside a much newer metro. Each one changes what your pages have to say.

The Texas Plumbing License Law, Occupations Code Chapter 1301, contains a clause that most marketing copy is written in ignorance of. Plumbing in Texas sits with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, and not with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Key takeaways
  • Advertising plumbing in Texas requires a responsible master plumber, per section 1301.351(a-2)
  • Unincorporated Harris County issues no plumbing permits at all
  • City median build year is 1981 against the metro’s 1992
  • Floodplain development permits come from a different office than trade permits

Condition What it is Source
Advertising is licensedSection 1301.351(a-2) reads: “A person that advertises or otherwise offers to perform or provide plumbing must secure the services of a responsible master plumber.”Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners published Plumbing License Law, Texas Occupations Code Title 8 Chapter 1301, section 1301.351
Licence and supervisionSection 1301.351(a) separately requires anyone engaging in plumbing to hold the proper licence and work under supervision. Licence types run Tradesman Plumber-Limited, Journeyman, Master, and Plumbing Inspector, with endorsements.Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners published Plumbing License Law, Texas Occupations Code Title 8 Chapter 1301, sections 1301.003 and 1301.351
Board sunsetThe board is subject to the Texas Sunset Act and the chapter expires 1 September 2033 absent renewal.Texas Sunset Act; Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners published Plumbing License Law, Texas Occupations Code Title 8 Chapter 1301
Permits inside the cityInside Houston, Public Works Building Code Enforcement issues plumbing permits and contractors must register their state licence with the City before pulling one.Houston Public Works Building Code Enforcement
Permits outside the cityOutside it, the Harris County Office of the County Engineer publishes 56 permit types for the unincorporated area, and none of them is a plumbing permit.Harris County Office of the County Engineer permit list
Housing ageThe city of Houston records a median year of construction of 1981 against the metro’s 1992.US Census ACS 2019–2023 five-year estimates, table B25035
Tenure and structureThe city is also majority-renter at 42.0% owner-occupancy against 61.2% across the metro, and 43.0% single-family detached against 62.6%.US Census ACS 2019–2023 five-year estimates, tables B25003 and B25024
Floodplain rulePost-Harvey amendments effective 1 September 2018 require new and substantially improved structures in the 100-year and 500-year floodplain to be elevated to the 500-year flood elevation plus two feet, and floodplain development permits come from a different office than the trade permit counter.Houston Public Works Chapter 19 Floodplain Guidelines effective 1 September 2018; Houston Public Works Building Code Enforcement

What we read from that, and this part is our judgement rather than anything the sources state: a 1981 median puts a large share of city housing into cast iron drain lines and galvanised supply, where a metro built a decade later mostly is not. Emergency and repair work concentrates in the city; replacement and repipe work concentrates outside it.

Read that as written. The obligation attaches to the advertisement, not to the job. A company running ads, a website or a Google Business Profile offering plumbing in Texas needs a responsible master plumber secured before any work is sold, and a lead-generation site that offers plumbing without one is exposed on the same clause.

The same repipe that needs a permit and an inspection in Houston may need no county permit at all in Spring, Cypress, Atascocita or Channelview. Houston has no zoning map to make that boundary legible, so a company whose service area straddles it needs a jurisdiction check before the quote rather than after.

That is a real operational difference and it is worth saying plainly to customers, because it changes what they are buying. The floodplain rules matter here too, and I put the elevation rule in front of owners early.

Figures are carried from the primary sources cited on our Houston market page: US Census ACS 2019–2023 five-year estimates, tables B25003, B25024, B25035 and B19013; Houston Public Works Chapter 19 Floodplain Guidelines effective 1 September 2018; the Harris County Office of the County Engineer permit list.

Licensing is from the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners published Plumbing License Law, Texas Occupations Code Title 8 Chapter 1301, sections 1301.003 and 1301.351. Checked 2026-07-28.

What does Mindflow Marketing deliver for a Houston plumbing company?

Five pillars run together inside one engagement: local SEO and Google Maps, organic search, AI visibility, reputation and brand SERP, and conversion tracking. Each is reported with the denominator stated beside the number, so a figure can be checked instead of believed.

Local SEO and Google Maps

Google Business Profile work and map-grid tracking read across Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties, not off a single pin. A grid tells you whether you are losing on trust signals or losing on distance, and those have different fixes.

Organic search

Technical foundations, site architecture and the searches that turn into repipes, sewer replacements and water heater work, built from the jobs you closed. Pages built from a keyword tool rank you in counties your trucks will never drive to.

AI visibility and entity work

Entity disambiguation, organisation schema, knowledge-graph alignment and passages written so an assistant can lift them whole. This decides whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews name your Houston plumbing company or a competitor.

Reputation and brand SERP

What a buyer and an assistant both see when they search your name. For a plumbing company the master licence number, the responsible master plumber and the review base all belong where both can read them.

Conversion tracking

Calls and forms tracked through to the booked job. Visibility that never reaches a booked job still costs you the months it took to build, and that bill never appears on an invoice.

Measurement you can audit

Share of Answer across twelve frozen buying questions, three platforms, three runs each, scored out of twelve with screenshots archived and dated.

Read the full method

Rankings are never guaranteed. Anything we could not trace to a primary source is absent from this page, not estimated. The audit runs the same six layers described on the pricing page, and Share of Answer is scored quarterly.

How we measure it

Every figure on this page has a source and a date

Three numbers are absent here on purpose: cost per lead, conversion rate, local benchmark. Each moves with market and season, so anything printed on this page would be stale before you finished reading it. Your account holds the real figure, and the calculators handle the arithmetic once you do.

Everything about how we measure is published up front: six audit layers, how sampling works, a complete report with the figures intact. No promise about rankings.

How the first 90 days work

Every Mindflow Marketing engagement opens with a diagnostic, not a pitch. The first 90 days establish a baseline you can hold us to, fix what is structurally broken, and put the first measured movement on the record.

  1. Free Visibility Check. The twelve real buying questions a Houston homeowner asks about plumbing, put to Google Maps, Google and the assistants. You get the screenshots. No call required.
  2. Local Visibility Audit. Crawlability and indexation, entity and schema state, map-grid position across Harris County and the collar counties, review base, and the competitive gap. Delivered written, with the working shown.
  3. Baseline measurement. Share of Answer scored before any work begins, so the starting number exists in writing and cannot be revised later.
  4. Foundations, weeks 1 to 6. Technical fixes, entity and organisation schema, Google Business Profile, licence and responsible master plumber details published where they can be read, and the pages Houston owners search for.
  5. Authority and content, weeks 4 to 12. Citable pages, review systems, and the off-site corroboration assistants rely on when deciding whether a plumbing company is real.
  6. First remeasurement. The same twelve questions, the same conditions, scored against the baseline. Movement or no movement, both go in the report.

PUBLISHED RESULTS

What has Mindflow Marketing actually produced?

Two clients have given written permission to publish their numbers, and neither published client is a company of this market. Precision Fenceworks is a Georgia fence company working Athens, Alpharetta, Atlanta and Gwinnett, verified live 2026-06-16. Fireside Antiques is an eCommerce antiques dealer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with Search Console and Ahrefs data pulled 2026-06-10.

PRECISION FENCEWORKS · GEORGIA FENCING

Precision Fenceworks is second in the map pack and third organic in Athens, named by three of the four major assistants with Perplexity giving them as its first pick. In Alpharetta the same company is first organic and third in the map pack, beaten on proximity and not on trust signals.

In Lawrenceville it holds page one organic with zero map presence. Across the account, 87 AI mentions across 72 cited pages, and 631 Precision Fenceworks reviews at a 4.9 average.

In Atlanta the same client has no reachable map presence against 100,000-plus impressions in sixteen months. Their pin sits in Alpharetta, proximity decides the Google map pack, and no page moves a building.

FIRESIDE ANTIQUES · BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA

Fireside Antiques holds five of eight tracked core terms ranking strong, with dining tables, armoires, mirrors and coffee tables all recovered to first position after a ranking dip.

A national eCommerce catalogue, not a local service business, which is why it sits here as evidence of method and not as a forecast for a Houston plumbing contractor.

Neither client is in Houston and neither works in plumbing, and Mindflow Marketing is not going to imply otherwise. What transfers between markets is the method: the audit, the frozen questions, the stated denominators and the work ledger. What does not transfer is a promise about your own street.

What we cannot show either: Precision Fenceworks revenue, lead volume and job values, and Fireside Antiques sales and revenue. Neither client’s permission covers it. So we cannot tell you whether this visibility became money, and we would rather say that than let a chart imply it. Two clients is not a large portfolio and we are not going to present it as one.

What does SEO and AI visibility cost for a Houston plumbing company?

Mindflow Marketing publishes every rate. A Visibility Check is free. A Local Visibility Audit is $3,500 to $7,500 and credits against your first invoice if you start a monthly partnership within 30 calendar days of delivery. The monthly partnership starts at $3,500 a month on a 90-day initial term, then runs month to month. No setup fee and no annual contract.

The credit caps at that first invoice and does not carry forward. At the bottom of the range a $3,500 audit against a $3,500 first month costs you nothing if you continue. At the top, a $7,500 audit against a $3,500 first month credits $3,500 and the remainder is spent. We would rather you ran that sum at your own desk than found it on an invoice.

The full ladder, with what sits inside each tier, is on the pricing page.

Which Houston areas and industries does Mindflow Marketing serve?

We serve the Houston metro from Atlanta, covering Downtown, Midtown, Montrose, The Heights, River Oaks, Memorial, Meyerland, Clear Lake, Katy, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Pearland, League City, Humble, Kingwood, Spring, Cypress, Atascocita, Channelview and The Woodlands, across Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria and Galveston counties.

The plumbing work runs from drain and sewer replacement to repipes, slab leaks, water heaters, gas lines and backflow. Alongside plumbing we work with roofing, HVAC, electrical, fencing, garage door and remodeling companies, plus legal, specialty healthcare and considered-purchase eCommerce.

The common thread is deal value: one won job has to pay for months of the work, or the arithmetic does not close.

This page covers plumbing specifically. The wider market picture for this city, covering climate, housing stock, storm exposure and which body issues the permit, sits on the Houston market page, and the state rules are on the Texas page.

Other trades in this city: roofing marketing in Houston. The national practice for this trade sits on the plumbing marketing page, inside home services.

Houston plumbing SEO and AI visibility: common questions

Do you have an office in Houston?

No. Mindflow works from one place: Atlanta, Georgia, and Houston is served from there. We will not rent a mailbox to look local, because a fake address is the kind of thing that gets a Google Business Profile suspended and it would be the first dishonest thing on this page. Youssef Hodaigui, twenty-five years in search, runs every engagement personally, and every meeting is remote.

Does running plumbing ads in Texas require a licence?

The statute requires a responsible master plumber for anyone who advertises or otherwise offers to perform plumbing, under Occupations Code section 1301.351(a-2). The obligation attaches to the advertising, so it applies before any work is sold. We check that clause before we write a single ad or landing page, because the exposure sits with the advertiser.

Do I need a permit for plumbing work outside Houston?

Often not. The Harris County Office of the County Engineer’s published permit list for the unincorporated area contains no plumbing permit. Check the jurisdiction of the specific address before quoting, since Houston has no zoning map to make the boundary obvious. We build your service-area pages around that boundary so the quote language matches what each jurisdiction asks for.

Where is repipe demand concentrated?

In the older city core rather than the metro. The city median build year is 1981 against 1992 metro-wide, which puts more city housing into cast iron and galvanised systems. That second half is our reading and not a Census finding, and we label it that way above. We point the content and the map work at the postcodes where that stock sits.

Do you have any Houston clients you can show me?

Not yet. Neither published client is a company of this market. The two clients who have given permission to publish are in Georgia and Louisiana, and both records are linked on this page. What transfers to Houston is the method, and a forecast is not part of it. If a named local plumbing result is what you need before signing, we would rather you knew that now than after an invoice.

Where does your plumbing company show up in Houston right now?

The twelve real buying questions a Houston homeowner asks about plumbing, put to Google Maps, Google and the AI assistants. Free, with screenshots, and no call required to receive it.
