SEO for Electricians

Mindflow runs SEO for electricians and electrical contractors. We help homeowners and property owners find you when they search for an electrician or the electrical work you want more of, in the towns you serve, on Google Maps, in search results and in AI answers. Your Business Profile, reviews and conversion work are in the same plan.

What does SEO do for an electrical contractor?

SEO for an electrician is the work that gets you found for the trade search first, "electrician" in your town, and then for the panel, EV charger or generator job you want more of. It covers the Google map, the regular results and AI answers like Google's AI Overviews and ChatGPT.

People look for an electrician in three ways:

  • The trade and the place"electrician near me" or "electrician in [your town]," then the specific job: a panel, a circuit, a charger.
  • The mapthe three electricians Google shows first, with their reviews, hours and photos.
  • Your nameafter a referral or a builder's recommendation, they look you up to check you're licensed and well reviewed.

What homeowners and AI tools check about an electrician, and when electrical searches peak in each city, is on our electrician marketing page.

Which searches bring electrical customers?

Far more people search for "electrician" than for "electrical repair." Across the US, "electrician" averages about 368,000 searches a month in Google's estimates, while "electrical repair" has about 9,900. So your profile and pages should match the trade search in your towns, then show the jobs you do.

Which pages does an electrician website need?

An electrician's site needs a page for each service you want more of and a town page only where you have real work to show. In our crawl of 646 electrician sites, 383 had five or more service pages. Most homepages named the trade in their title tag; fewer named a city.

On electrician sites in our researchCount
Five or more service pages (of 646 sites)383
Homepage title names the trade (of 566 with a title)541
Homepage title names a city (of 566)332
LocalBusiness schema on the homepage (of 561)286

For an electrician, that means one page per job type: someone searching for a panel upgrade should land on the panel page. How many electrician sites had location pages is on our electrician marketing page.

Across all eight trades in our study, Maps top-three businesses that ChatGPT also named more often had three or more location pages (142 of 323 sites) than those it didn't name (156 of 752). LocalBusiness schema on the homepage didn't separate the two groups (139 of 298 homepages vs 352 of 648). For electricians, ChatGPT named 50 of the 147 in the Maps top three, so a map spot and an AI mention are separate results, and we work on both.

Site counts: Mindflow research, saved website crawls and homepages of home-service businesses in 50 metros, October 2026, counted from our saved data files, before the study's final review. An association, not a cause: named businesses also tend to be bigger. ChatGPT counts: Mindflow Home-Service Visibility Study, 50 US metros, October 3–17, 2026; ChatGPT means the OpenAI API with web search, asked which companies a homeowner should call. What should you ask before hiring an electrician SEO company?

Of nine agency pages that ranked for electrician SEO and marketing searches in Google's US results on October 21, 2026, four stated contract terms and two said who owns the accounts. Ask any electrician SEO company, us included, these five questions, and get the answers in writing.

AskWhat a straight answer sounds like
Who owns the accounts and the website?Everything in your name, and you keep it if you leave.
How long am I committed?A short fixed start, then month to month, in writing.
Will you work with another electrician in my area?A clear yes or no for your area, not "it depends."
Residential, commercial or both?Pages planned around the work and buyers you name, not a generic template.
Will my license details be right on my site and profile? On your site, your Business Profile and the listings they manage, yes, with errors in other records flagged for correction.

Our answers on ownership, commitment and competitors are in the questions at the end of this page. You deal with Youssef Hodaigui directly: calls and texts are answered as they come in, emails usually within hours.

Questions about electrician SEO

How much does electrician SEO cost?
With Mindflow, plans start at $2,800 a month for one metro, $4,500 for a metro and the cities around it, and $8,500 for three or more metros. Your price depends on how competitive electrical work is in your market and how many services you want to grow. There's no setup fee, and you get your exact price in writing first. See plans and prices.
Which electrical services should get their own pages?
The ones you want more of and can do well, such as panel upgrades, rewiring, generators or EV chargers. One page per job, not one page listing every job: someone searching for a panel upgrade should land on the panel page. Each is linked from your homepage and related pages, with the same service on your Business Profile.
What should an electrician's Business Profile list?
Your primary category, the services you want more of (panel upgrades, EV chargers, generators, repairs), the towns you serve, your hours and real photos of your work. Use your business name exactly as it appears on your license, so the profile and the record match. We keep these current as part of every plan.
How long does SEO take?
Usually months, not weeks. How fast depends on your competitors and on how complete your Business Profile and site are today.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. No one can guarantee a spot on Google or in an AI answer. We show you the work and the results.
Is AI SEO extra?
No. AI search optimization is included in SEO in every plan.
Am I locked into a contract?
The first 90 days are committed and billed monthly. After that it's month to month with 30 days' notice.
Who owns my accounts and website?
You do. Every account stays in your name, and website files and copy are yours once paid.
Will you work with my competitor?
No. We won't work with your direct competitor in your area.
Do I need a new website?
Not always. If yours can't turn visits into calls, we'll say so and quote a site separately.
Do you run Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads?
Case by case. Our plans cover SEO, AI search, your Google Business Profile, reviews and conversion. When paid ads fit your market and goals, we scope Google Ads, Local Services Ads or ChatGPT ads in your proposal. Ad spend goes to the platform and isn't part of our fee.
